Ingredients
- Mars Bar6 chopped
- Butter150 g
- Rice Krispies120 g
- Milk Chocolate150 g
- Parchment paper1 sheet
Instructions
Prepare Baking Tin
2 minTake a 20 x 20 cm (8" x 8") baking dish and generously grease the bottom and sides with a little butter to prevent sticking. Then, line the bottom and sides with parchment paper, allowing some overhang for easy removal later.
Melt Mars Bars and Butter
3 minIn a heatproof bowl, combine Mars Bars and butter. Place this bowl over a pot of water that is gently simmering on the stove. Stir the mixture continuously with a whisk until it becomes smooth and fully melted, ensuring no lumps remain - this should take about 5-7 minutes.
Combine with Rice Krispies
2 minOnce the Mars Bars and butter are completely melted, pour this mixture into a large bowl containing Rice Krispies. Stir the cereal gently but thoroughly until every piece is generously coated with the sticky mixture, making sure there are no dry spots.
Press Mixture into Tin
3 minTransfer the coated Rice Krispies mixture into the prepared baking tin. Use a spatula or your hands to press it down firmly and evenly, ensuring there are no gaps. Aim for a compact layer that is level with the top of the tin.
Melt Milk Chocolate
2 minUsing either a microwave or a double boiler, melt milk chocolate until it is completely smooth. If using a microwave, heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between to prevent burning. The chocolate should be glossy and pourable when finished.
Pour and Smooth Chocolate
2 minCarefully pour the melted milk chocolate over the pressed Rice Krispies layer in the baking tin. Use a spatula to spread the chocolate evenly over the surface, covering it completely. Let it sit in a cool place, away from heat, to allow the chocolate to set.
Cut and Serve
4 minOnce the chocolate has fully set, gently lift the treat out of the tin using the overhanging parchment paper. Place it on a cutting board and cut into squares or rectangles as desired. Enjoy your delicious treats!
