- Potatoes2 medium
- Carrots1 large
- Swede1/2 piece
- Cabbage1/2 head
- Bay leaf1 leaf
- Cider100 ml

Instructions
Melt Butter and Brown Pork
9 minIn a sturdy casserole dish, place a knob of butter and heat it over medium heat until the butter is melted and begins to sizzle gently. Carefully add the pork chops to the pan, searing each side for 2-3 minutes until they develop a rich golden-brown crust. Once browned, transfer the pork chops to a plate and set aside to keep warm.
Sauté Vegetables and Add Pork
14 minUsing the same pan, introduce bacon, diced carrot, cubed potatoes, and chopped swede. Sauté these ingredients gently, stirring occasionally, until they start to take on a light golden color, about 5-7 minutes. Afterward, add shredded cabbage, nestle the browned pork chops on top, and toss in a bay leaf. Pour in cider and chicken stock, cover the dish, and reduce the heat to low to let it simmer for approximately 20 minutes until the pork is tender and the vegetables are cooked through.
Serve Coddled Pork Dish
7 minOnce cooked, carefully serve the dish directly from the casserole at the dinner table. Use a large spoon to gently scoop out the pork chops and vegetables, ensuring to include some of the flavorful cooking liquid with each serving.
