Instructions
Soak Bread Roll and Sauté Onion
15 minBegin by soaking 1 bread roll in 120ml of milk until it becomes completely soft and mushy. While the bread is soaking, heat 100ml of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add 1 chopped onion and sauté for approximately 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the onion turns a soft golden brown. Once the onion is ready, transfer it to a mixing bowl and combine with 500g of ground beef, 1 egg, 1 minced garlic clove, a pinch of marjoram, and seasoning to your preference. Don’t forget to squeeze out any excess milk from the soaked bread before adding it to the mix. Ensure all ingredients are mixed thoroughly for even seasoning.
Shape and Coat Patties
15 minWith your seasoned mixture, form it into 8 evenly sized patties using your hands. Place 75g of breadcrumbs into a shallow dish and generously coat each patty on all sides to create a crispy exterior. In a large frying pan, heat a small amount of oil over medium-high heat. Carefully add the patties in batches and fry for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. The patties should feel firm to the touch and have a nice crust.
