Ingredients
- Beef400g
- oyster sauce2 tbsp
- Red chilli1 sliced
- Basil LeavesHandful
- Vegetable oil2 tbsp
Instructions
Heat the wok or pan
3 minBegin by preheating a wok or a large frying pan over high heat until it reaches a smoking point, which indicates it’s hot enough for stir-frying. Once hot, pour in 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil and swirl it around to coat the surface evenly, ensuring a non-stick cooking environment.
Cook the beef and chili
5 minAdd 400g of beef strips and 1 sliced red chilli to the hot oil. Stir the ingredients continuously for about 3 minutes, or until the beef is lightly browned and the chili has released its aroma, indicating that they are cooking properly.
Add the oyster sauce
3 minPour in 2 tablespoons of oyster sauce over the beef and chili mixture. Continue to stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to heat through and thoroughly coat the beef, enhancing its flavor and creating a glossy finish.
Incorporate basil leaves
4 minFinally, gently mix in a handful of basil leaves into the stir-fry just before serving. This will allow the basil to wilt slightly while still retaining its vibrant color and fragrant aroma. Serve the stir-fry hot over plain rice for a complete meal.
