Ingredients

  • Trout2 fillets
  • Ginger1 knob
  • Garlic1 small clove, finely diced
  • Red chilli1 small, finely diced
  • LimeJuice and zest of 1
  • Baby Pak Choi3
  • soy sauce2 tablespoons
  • Wateras needed

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Trout Package

    15 min

Lay the trout fillets side by side on a large piece of aluminum foil. Scatter ginger, garlic, red chilli, and lime zest evenly over the fillets for maximum flavor infusion. Squeeze lime juice over the fish, ensuring it is well coated, and arrange the baby pak choi around and on top of the fish. Finally, drizzle soy sauce over the pak choi, then carefully fold the foil to create a sealed packet, ensuring there is enough space for steam to circulate inside.

  2. Steam the Fish

    1 min

Set the foil package in a steamer and steam for 15 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork. If you lack a steamer, place the package on a heatproof plate over a pot of gently simmering water, cover it with a lid, and allow it to steam. Keep an eye on the water level to ensure it does not evaporate completely during the steaming process.
