Zucchini Fritters and Family Chaos
It's a funny thing, the abundance of zucchini taking over my garden.
You know those weeks when everything feels chaotic? Just the other day, I stared at my overflowing basket of zucchini and thought, I need to do something with this! So, I decided to whip up some zucchini and corn fritters.
With Mark coming home from work, I wanted something homemade and comforting. Of course, there’s Lily, always buzzing around, ready to taste whatever I’m making.
I mixed together grated zucchini, corn, a pinch of love, and spices. The batter was simple but satisfying, just right for a busy week.
Jake popped in, claiming he could whip up something better. I smiled, stirring the mixture, savoring these kitchen moments.
Buddy, our dog, was close by, eyes wide, hoping for a scrap. That dog has radar for the kitchen.
As I dropped spoonfuls of batter into the hot skillet, the kitchen filled with the most delicious aroma. It was chaos, but it was our chaos.
You can almost taste it now, right? Picture a plate of golden fritters, crunchy outside, soft inside. Just the kind of thing that brings us all together around the table.
Things are starting to simmer down. Mark’s almost home. I hear the door creaking open. Let’s see how many of those fritters he wants tonight.
