Ingredients

  • rice stick noodles6 oz
  • Chicken Breast1 cup, cooked and sliced
  • Chinese broccoli4 cups, chopped
  • dark soy sauce2 tbsp
  • oyster sauce2 tbsp
  • soy sauce2 tsp
  • white vinegar2 tsp
  • Sugar2 tsp
  • Water2 tbsp
  • peanut oil2 tbsp
  • Garlic2 cloves, minced
  • Eggs1

Instructions

  1. Prepare the sauce mixture

    5 min

In a small mixing bowl, whisk together dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, soy sauce, white vinegar, sugar, and water until the sugar is fully dissolved. This sauce will add depth and flavor to your dish, so make sure all ingredients are well combined.

  2. Sauté garlic in oil

    2 min

Place a wok over high heat and pour in peanut oil, allowing it to heat until shimmering but not smoking. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until it becomes fragrant and slightly golden, being careful not to burn it.

  3. Cook chicken and broccoli stems

    17 min

Introduce the chicken and the chopped stems of Chinese broccoli to the hot wok. Stir-fry these ingredients for approximately 3-4 minutes, or until the chicken develops a light golden brown color and the stems begin to soften.

  4. Scramble the egg

    13 min

Push the chicken and broccoli to one side of the wok, creating space for the egg. Crack the egg directly into the wok and scramble it with a spatula until it is fully cooked through, allowing it to slightly stick and char for enhanced flavor.

  5. Combine noodles and sauce

    5 min

Add the rice stick noodles and the leaves of the Chinese broccoli to the wok along with the prepared sauce mixture. Gently toss everything together for about 2-3 minutes until the noodles are well-coated with sauce and the greens have wilted down.

  6. Plate and serve

    1 min

Transfer the finished Pad See Ew to serving plates while it's still hot. Enjoy this flavorful dish immediately for the best taste and texture!
