- Salmon400 g
- Avocado3
- spinach400 g
- Cucumber1
- Olive Oil3 tbsp
- Honey2 tsp
- Lime1 (zest and juice)
- Mint4 tbsp
Instructions
Season Salmon Fillets
3 minStart by generously seasoning the salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Next, rub each fillet with olive oil to ensure an even coating, which will help create a beautiful crust when seared. Let the fillets sit for a few minutes to absorb the flavors while you prepare the dressing.
Make the Dressing
3 minIn a mixing bowl, combine the freshly grated lime zest and the juice of the lime to add brightness. Stir in honey for sweetness and the remaining olive oil to create a balanced dressing. Whisk until all ingredients are fully incorporated and smooth.
Prepare the Avocados
3 minTake the avocados and slice them in half, removing the pit carefully. Peel off the skin and cut the flesh into slices or cubes as preferred. Make sure to do this just before serving to maintain their vibrant color and freshness.
Slice the Cucumber
3 minBegin by cutting the cucumber in half lengthwise, which allows for easier handling. Then, slice each half into thin pieces, creating half-moon shapes that will add a refreshing crunch to the salad. Set aside until ready to assemble the plates.
Assemble the Salad Plates
3 minOn four individual plates, artfully arrange a bed of spinach, followed by the sliced avocado and cucumber. Drizzle half of the prepared dressing over the top, ensuring all components are lightly coated for added flavor.
Cook the Salmon
30 minHeat a non-stick pan over medium heat until hot, then place the salmon fillets skin-side down. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the skin is crispy and the flesh is opaque but still moist. The fillets should easily flake with a fork when done.
Plate the Salmon and Serve
3 minCarefully place one cooked salmon fillet on top of each salad plate. Drizzle the remaining dressing over the salmon to enhance its flavor and presentation. Serve immediately while the salmon is warm, allowing the contrast with the fresh salad ingredients.
